The parking lot beneath Hotel Habakuk at the foothills of Maribor’s Pohorje, currently within the confines of the parking white zone in the Municipality of Maribor, will be transformed into a fenced parking lot managed by the company Marprom from the JHMB Group on Friday, May 10, 2024. Parking will be possible under the same conditions as those at the central parking lot below the lower station of the Pohorje cable car.
Thus, the parking lot beneath Hotel Habakuk, equipped with entry-exit barriers and an automatic cashier, will now be payable 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with a parking fee of 1.00 EUR/hour. Users will also have the option of monthly parking rental, priced at 45 EUR, allowing unlimited parking.
The parking lot beneath Hotel Habakuk offers 150 parking spaces on asphalt and an additional 60 on the gravel part. Holders of all Pohorje tickets will have free access, although they won’t have a guaranteed parking space. The same applies to guests of certain other Pohorje providers who are contractual partners of Marprom.
The gravel part of this parking lot will be designated for motorhome parking in the future. Beforehand, we will further arrange and equip it in the second half of the year to make it more convenient for motorhome visitors.
Meanwhile, the nearby parking lot beneath Hotel Arena will continue to be regulated as a white zone; thus, initial 2 hours of parking with marked arrival time remain free on the mentioned parking lot. Additionally, there will still be some parking spaces available under Pohorje in the municipal blue zone, dedicated to free short-term parking rental.
Lastly, visitors can also reach the lower station of the Pohorje cable car by city bus line 6, Vzpenjača. Since the end of last year, only electric buses have been operating on this line, making it the first green bus line in our area.
