CIRCULAR CABLE CAR POHORSKA VZPENJAČA
The circular cabin cable car, one of the symbols of Mariborko Pohorje, takes you from the lower station at 328 meters to the upper station at 1042 meters. From there, you can embark on hiking trails, cycling paths, or ski slopes.
Transport on the circular cable car, named Pohorska Vzpenjača, has been provided on Mariborsko Pohorje since 1957 and is an essential part of both the summer and winter sports and tourism infrastructure. The current cable car with cabins in recognizable red color was built in 2009, and in 2023, it received a new intermediate station.
The ride from the lower to the upper station takes about 10 minutes. The length of the route is 2505 meters, with a vertical difference of 714 meters, 64 cabins, and a maximum capacity of 1960 passengers per hour. Access for people with mobility impairments is also available.
In the immediate vicinity of the lower station of the Pohorska Vzpenjača, there are organized parking lots, and you can also reach there by taking the city bus on line 6, Vzpenjača.
Timetable
The Circular Cable Car (CCC) on Mariborko Pohorje operates from Monday to Sunday every full hour between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m.
The maximum allowable delay for boarding the CCC is up to 5 minutes.
On Mondays, there is no ride at 8 a.m. due to regular maintenance work.
