On Monday, July 31, 2023, the Pohorje cable car will temporarily cease its operations to begin the installation of the intermediate station. Due to this, it is expected not to operate until the end of September. However, during this suspension, alternative transportation will be provided using the Radvanje, Poštela, and Sleme chairlifts on certain days.
All construction work on the intermediate station has recently been completed, and the station’s assembly, according to the contractor, Leitner, is estimated to take approximately 6 to 8 weeks. Additionally, two new pillars will need to be installed at the station, and two existing pillars will be replaced. During this process, the cable of the circular cable car will be removed by the contractor and will need to be reinstalled and tensioned after the work is completed. Prior to regular operation, all necessary inspections and testing will be conducted.
During the suspension of the Pohorje cable car, the Radvanje, Poštela, and Sleme chairlifts will operate on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Transportation with Radvanje and Poštela will be available from 9 AM to 7 PM, both uphill and downhill (with Radvanje until August 27, on Saturdays and Sundays, and on the holiday, August 15, until 8 PM), and bicycle transportation will also be possible. Meanwhile, the Sleme chairlift, operating from 9 AM to 6 PM, will transport passengers only uphill (due to an unsuitable upper station entrance), and it will not be possible to carry bicycles on it.
All personalized tickets for the circular cable car and Bike Park Pohorje will also be valid for the use of the chairlifts. Nevertheless, Marprom, within the JHMB Group, will extend the validity of the mentioned tickets for the period when the Pohorje cable car is not operational during the installation of the intermediate station.
For other users of the chairlifts, the following ticket prices will apply:
- One-way ticket for all three chairlifts – 10 EUR for adults, 7 EUR for children, youth, students, and seniors.
- Round-trip ticket for Poštela and Radvanje + Sleme (uphill) – 11 EUR for adults, 8 EUR for children, youth, students, and seniors.
- One-way ticket for Radvanje – 3 EUR for adults, 2 EUR for children, youth, students, and seniors.
- Round-trip ticket for Radvanje – 5 EUR for adults, 3 EUR for children, youth, students, and seniors.
- One-way ticket for Poštela – 4 EUR for adults, 3 EUR for children, youth, students, and seniors.
- Round-trip ticket for Poštela – 6 EUR for adults, 4 EUR for children, youth, students, and seniors.
- One-way ticket for Sleme (uphill) – 3 EUR for adults, 2 EUR for children, youth, students, and seniors.
- Transport of sports equipment (1 item) for Radvanje, Poštela, and Sleme (excluding bicycles) – 4 EUR.
Change in Bike Park Pohorje ticket price during the suspension of the Pohorje cable car
During the suspension of the Pohorje cable car, from Thursday to Sunday and on holidays, the price of the Bike Park Pohorje ticket will be 19 EUR per person.
The exact duration of the suspension of the Pohorje cable car will depend on the progress of the work. On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, when the chairlifts are not operational, Bike Park Pohorje and the ticket office will also be closed.
