The first skiing on Pisker and the children’s polygon

At the Mariborsko Pohorje ski resort with Areh, after several days of snowmaking on the ski slopes, the new winter season begins on Saturday, December 9, 2023. For the first ski descent, the Pisker trail with a six-seater chairlift will be prepared on Areh, operating between 9 am and 4 pm. At Mariborsko Pohorje, the children’s polygon with the Bejbika conveyor belts will be open during this time.

Adjusted prices for daily ski passes will apply upon entering the winter season for the ski slopes and lifts managed by the Marprom company from the JHMB Group: EUR 23 for adults, EUR 20 for youth, students, and seniors, EUR 14 for children, and the same for disabled individuals. Tickets for the use of the polygon or Bejbika conveyor belts will be available for purchase at regular prices.

The circular cable car Pohorska vzpenjača will operate continuously from 8:45 am to 4 pm when the ski slopes open. For the transition from Mariborsko Pohorje to Areh, skiers will have access to a bus connection – during the weekend, two ski buses will be in service.

Considering that skiing from the parking lot on Areh towards Pisker will not be possible yet, and the forest road to the upper station of Cojzarice is snow-covered, visitors are recommended to access by car from Ruše to the lower station of Pisker, where a large free parking lot is available. Tickets can also be purchased at the Pisker ticket office, while the Areh ticket office (at the upper station of the new four-seater chairlift Ruška) will not be open yet.

After the introductory ski weekend, the winter season will continue uninterrupted i nto the next week. The opening of other trails will depend on weather and snow conditions.
