First Skiing on Pisker and Bejbika Slopes
After several days of snowmaking on the Mariborsko Pohorje ski slopes with Areh, the new winter season begins on Saturday, December 9, 2023. For the first skiing, the Pisker slope with a six-seater chairlift will be prepared on Areh, operating from 9 am to 4 pm. During this time on Mariborsko Pohorje, the children’s playground with the Bejbika conveyor belts will be open.
Special adjusted prices for daily ski passes will apply upon entering the winter season for the ski slopes or lifts managed by the Marprom company from the JHMB Group: EUR 23 for adults, EUR 20 for youth, students, and seniors, EUR 14 for children and the same for disabled individuals. Tickets for using only the Bejbika playground or conveyor belts will be available at regular prices.
The circular cable car, Pohorska vzpenjača, will operate every full hour upon the opening of the ski slopes. For transit from Mariborsko Pohorje to Areh, a bus connection will be available for skiers.
Since skiing from the Areh parking lot towards Pisker is not yet possible, and the forest road to the upper station of Cojzarica is snow-covered, visitors are recommended to access by car from Ruše to the lower Pisker station. There is a large free parking lot available, and tickets can also be purchased at the Pisker ticket office.
After the introductory ski weekend, the winter season will continue uninterruptedly into the next week. The opening of other trails will depend on weather and snow conditions.
