The opening of Bike Park Pohorje marks the start of a new cycling season on Mariborsko Pohorje on Friday, March 31. Initially, downhill rides with mountain bikes in the Bike Park will be possible on the Red Line and the lower part of the Flow Line trail. Initially, there will be a uniform daily ticket price of 19 EUR, but the 2023 price list brings some new features.
Among these is the favorable ½ + 2 package ticket, which is valid from 12:00 PM on the first day and then for two full days. Also new is the Gravity Card MB ticket; every holder of the European Gravity Card (valid from April 8 to November 5) purchased at the Pohorje ticket office will receive a free Gravity Card MB, allowing access to Bike Park Pohorje in 2023 before April 8 and after November 5. For those who purchase the Gravity Card elsewhere, the Bike Park’s price list during the card’s non-validity period includes a daily ticket at a uniform price of 20 EUR (or 19 EUR for a single trail). At the beginning of the season, the cycling park on Mariborsko Pohorje will be open from 9 AM to 6 PM, with the cable car running continuously on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (March 31 to April 2). Due to maintenance work on the cable car, the Bike Park will operate only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in April, as well as on two public holidays – Easter Monday (April 10) and Resistance Day (April 27).
As the new cycling season begins on Mariborsko Pohorje, other trails such as Flow Line, World Cup Line, and Fury Trail will also be prepared. Cyclists will be informed in a timely manner about their opening. Please note that, in accordance with the general terms of business, riding outside the designated cycling trails in Bike Park Pohorje (on unauthorized trails) will result in ticket confiscation or revocation.
In August and September, when the cable car will be temporarily out of service due to the construction of an intermediate station, the Radvanje, Poštela, and Sleme chairlifts will provide transportation to the top. All three will be equipped with bike hooks. However, the validity of annual tickets for Bike Park Pohorje will be appropriately extended for the period when the cable car is not operational during the construction of the intermediate station.
