The cable car will start operating immediately after obtaining the necessary permits.

Although all the work on the new intermediate station of the circular cable car has been completed, and the testing has been carried out, the Pohorje Cable Car will not commence operation on October 1. Before that, Marprom, as the operator within the JHMB Group, must obtain an occupancy permit and then an operating permit. Marprom is making efforts to expedite the documentation process, but the issuance of permits is not within its domain.

It is anticipated that the technical inspection conducted by the Institute for Occupational Safety and Environmental Protection will be completed on the Pohorje Cable Car by the end of this week. Following this, a technical inspection of the intermediate station will be carried out by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Space. Based on these inspections, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Space will issue the occupancy permit to Marprom, and the Ministry of Infrastructure will issue the operating permit.

The Pohorje Cable Car will begin operation immediately after obtaining these permits, which is expected to happen in the second half of October or towards the end of October. Until then, alternative transportation will continue to be provided on Maribor Pohorje with the Radvanje, Poštela, and Sleme chairlifts.

The new intermediate station of the Pohorje Cable Car represents a significant addition to the development of Pohorje 365, as it allows for the expansion of offerings with additional activities for all seasons. This includes a new bike trail between the intermediate and lower stations, a motor skills park, and further ideas such as a mountain go-kart track, a zipline, a toboggan run to the valley, a connecting route between Habakuk and the intermediate station of the Pohorje Cable Car, and more.
