The ski resort remains open despite the malfunction of the Pohorska vzpenjača cable car

Due to a technical failure of the electronics in the drive bridge, the circular cable car Pohorska vzpenjača is out of operation until further notice. The service team is working intensively to fix the issue and is making every effort to restore operations as soon as possible.

The Mariborsko Pohorje ski resort, including Areh, remains open. The top of the Bolfenk sector can be accessed via the Radvanje, Poštela, and Sleme chairlifts. These lifts provide access to all open slopes and will begin operating at 8:00 AM tomorrow, February 24, 2026, and will continue to do so until the cable car service is restored. The ski resort itself will open at its regular time of 9:00 a.m.

For all visitors who do not ski down to the valley, return transport is also ensured via the Radvanje and Poštela chairlifts.

The ski bus between the Bolfenk and Areh sectors is running according to the regular timetable.

Until transport via the circular cable car at Mariborsko Pohorje is restored, night skiing will not be available. Descents with winter tubing are also cancelled until further notice.

We will keep you informed in a timely manner about any changes to operations. Thank you for your understanding.
