RULES OF CONDUCT IN THE SKILLS PARK
Safety Instructions and Terms of Use:
– The course is built and prepared in natural terrain and may contain bumps and depressions; therefore, caution and speed adjustment according to the rider’s abilities are necessary while riding.
– The user declares that they have been informed about and have understood the instructions for using the Skills Park by the operator prior to use.
– The user undertakes to immediately inform the operator of any injuries to persons, or damage to property or equipment occurring during the use of the Skills Park.
Rules of Conduct:
– Riding in the “Skills Park Pohorje” (hereinafter referred to as “Skills Park”) is at your own risk.
– The operator of the Skills Park, Marprom, d.o.o., is not liable for bodily injuries, damage to bicycles and/or cycling equipment, or theft of bicycles and/or cycling equipment that may occur during the use of the Skills Park.
– Users under the influence of alcohol or drugs are strictly prohibited from using the Skills Park. The user declares that they are not under the influence of these substances.
Age Restriction:
– Children up to 14.99 years may purchase a ticket for the use of the conveyor belt in the Skills Park only when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (an adult). Upon purchasing the ticket, parents or guardians must inform the children about the Safety Instructions and Rules of Conduct in the Skills Park.
Notice to Cyclists, Parents, and Guardians:
– Injuries are common and expected in mountain biking. In the Skills Park, we strongly recommend using a full-face helmet, long gloves, a full-body armor with integrated back protection, a neck brace, and a full-suspension bike.
– If you are not familiar with the Skills Park’s programs and activities, or if you are a parent or guardian of a young rider, please familiarize yourself with the mountain biking activities we offer. We provide beginner mountain biking lessons and have a beginner trail available. Riders should not attempt to ride more challenging terrain or features without the necessary skills, experience, and equipment. For more information on mountain biking in the Skills Park, please visit our official website: www.visitpohorje.si.
Skills Park Usage:
-To ensure the safety of all participants, every user must maintain a minimum safety distance of 10 meters while riding or performing tricks.
– The Skills Park is specifically designed for mountain bikes. -Steep slopes require appropriate braking power from disc brakes. Rim brakes may lead to fatigue as more effort is needed to maintain control. All visitors must use a bike of suitable size and be able to touch the ground flat-footed while standing over the saddle. An oversized bike or a bike with a raised seat increases the risk of injury.
– The level of risk increases with the difficulty level. Young riders who are unable to ride the trail or move off it pose a danger to others. Children must be continuously supervised by adults, who should also regularly check for signs of fatigue.
– The first ride in the Skills Park should be used to familiarize yourself with the trails and obstacles.
– Always obey signage and information posted around and within the Skills Park and follow any other instructions from the operator.
– Adjust your speed to your biking skills and the conditions of the Skills Park.
– Faster riders must choose their line without endangering slower riders ahead of them.
– Stopping in difficult and/or blind sections of the Skills Park is prohibited, except in emergencies. If you must stop, exit the course as quickly as possible. Before re-entering the Skills Park, ensure it is safe to do so.
– Do not endanger others, especially less experienced riders.
– Riding in closed sections of the Skills Park is strictly prohibited. Maintenance work may be underway in these areas. Riding in closed sections will result in the revocation or cancellation of the conveyor belt ticket and a ban from further riding in the Skills Park.
– It is strictly forbidden for users to modify or alter the trails in the Skills Park or place obstacles on the course.
– Climbing on the riding surfaces of the Skills Park, either on foot or by bike, is strictly prohibited for safety reasons.
Additional Notices:
– If you are involved in or witness an accident, please immediately contact the emergency number 112 or the park operator at +386 59 179 752.
– The operator reserves the right to modify the Skills Park’s operating schedule in the event of bad weather and/or maintenance work.
– Failure to comply with the above rules, recommendations, and notices will result in the immediate revocation or cancellation of the conveyor belt ticket.
– Instructions from lift facility staff must be strictly followed.
– The operator at Pohorje uses a ticket registration system for issuing, recording, and controlling the use of tickets at operator-managed facilities through information technology. Sharing a non-transferable ticket between two or more persons or using a ticket by an unauthorized person constitutes “ticket abuse.” An authorized employee of the operator will cancel the ticket without issuing a confirmation of cancellation.
– Every user needs a valid ticket to use the conveyor belts. The conveyor belt is a working machine and does not fall under cableway facilities.
