Bike Park Pohorje Maribor, managed by the company Marprom from the JHMB Group, will host the National Downhill Mountain Biking Championship on Sunday, July 20, 2025. After five years, the event is returning to the bike park on Maribor’s Pohorje and will also count towards the 2025 Slovenia Downhill Cup series.
The competition will be organized by Marprom in cooperation with the Cycling Association of Slovenia and the Grabit Sports Association. More than 120 riders from Slovenia and abroad will compete in various age and racing categories – from juniors to elite and veterans.
Saturday is reserved for free riding and track inspection, while Sunday will feature official training, seeding runs, and the finals. All runs will take place on the World Cup track (black difficulty level), which has undergone some fresh updates this year and is considered one of the most technically demanding downhill tracks globally.
Due to the national championship event, the mentioned track will be closed to recreational riders on July 20. Spectators will be able to watch the race along the course – a one-way ticket for the Radvanje chairlift will be available at a promotional price of 2 EUR between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
