In the upcoming winter season, the company Marprom will continue to offer free parking at the enclosed Vzpenjača and Habakuk parking lots for visitors with daily and personalized ski passes. To further facilitate the use of parking lots for holders of personalized passes (including those for the bike park and circular cable car), they have prepared a special parking card.
All holders of personalized passes will receive a permanent parking card for unlimited use of the Vzpenjača and Habakuk parking lots while utilizing services at Mariborsko Pohorje and Areh – such as skiing, the bike park, or the circular cable car. The card can be collected starting Monday, December 2, 2024, at the Pohorska Vzpenjača ticket office upon presenting a personalized pass. To avoid crowds as the winter season approaches, it is recommended to collect the card before your first visit to the ski resort.
Meanwhile, visitors with daily bike and ski passes must take a parking ticket upon entering the parking lot and validate it at the ticket office when purchasing their pass to ensure free exit. The possibility of free parking at the foot of Mariborsko Pohorje is available to pass holders who qualify for this benefit until all parking spaces are filled.
At the enclosed parking lots near the lower station of the Pohorje cable car and the Habakuk Hotel, new hardware and software were installed during the summer, primarily to improve the parking experience for users. Currently, the integration of the parking system with the sales system for ski, bike, and gondola tickets is still underway. This is a complex process that requires ensuring full functionality to prevent potential issues with ticket recognition in the future.
